Hey i realy like the calico fantails and i am hoping on changing my dads mind on letting me have some fish in my new room when i swap with my sister as she is moving out, i have looked at a 21 litre tank no pump just tank with gravel and plant how many calico fantails could i hold in this tank >?
the 16 litre tank is much cheaper and a more in my price range i was could i get any calico fantails in this tank if yes how many ?
can you get calico fantails from pets at home??

Thanks for leaving a message. I don’t recommend a 21 litre tank for 1 fish. Sooner or later you’re fish will die because high levels of amonia. I recommend getting a bigger tank, for example a 15 Gallon One (bigger better) and buy a good filtration system.
There’s a “rule” among goldfish fans. 1 goldfish for every 10 gallon of your tank. For example if you have 8 fishes you’ll need a 80 gallon tank. Currently I have a 80 gallon tank with eight BIG fish, and I might add only 1. Since I started following this rule, My goldfish started to grow rapidly and they live very healthy at my tanks.
What I recommend is that you buy a 20 gallon tank, if you want a 2 or 3 fan tails. Remember you should change 25% to 30 % of the water every week, you should also clean your filter every month. I recommend that when you clean your filter, to clean it you should use water from your tank, so you don’t kill the beneficial bacteria that grows on the “filters”. Buy 1 fantail first, and later when your tank is fully established (1 month of having it or later) you can buy another one. Fantail are very common fish so you should find it on any pet store.

I think there are calico fantails at pets at home.But now it is called pet barn. They cost $2.24 for 5cm ones.
